Here are some details to help the students kick-start the planning :

Group formation and stall information :

  • Students are expected to form groups (3 - 4 members) on their own. We absolutely encourage this since it teaches students to work together toward a common goal.

  • If the group size is smaller or if a student wishes to participate but is unable to form a group, do ensure the registration for the Entrepreneurship Fair is done. Subject to logistical availability, we will either club similar stalls or try our best to allot a separate stall to the registered student / smaller group size. Either way, participation is guaranteed.

  • Do check this table to know which stall is to be put up by which standard :

Games / Services / Experiences / Other merchandise stalls

Food stalls

  • Other merchandise may include used books, art and craft works either made by self or someone else, painted flower pots, plants, soaps, dreamcatchers, bookmarks, etc.

  • Experiences may include a short lesson on something, like yoga, craft, photography, etc. or providing a service like nail art, tattoos, facials, massages, etc. It may also include gaming experiences where games created by the students in SCRATCH can be played by the audience. (Focus on “created by students”. Not commercial readymade games)

  • Students may also put up performances like magic tricks that can easily be displayed or done using a table.

  • Students can sell things made by disabled people etc. too or donate their profits towards a good cause and get a Principal's Pride award for social responsibility!

Setting up the stall on the school campus :

  • Groups are provided with one table per group. Bringing a table cloth to cover the table is compulsory. Using a table without a table cloth won't be allowed.

  • No group should put up posters on the wall. Damage (to school property) prices will have to be paid if anyone does so.

  • Students can have free standing posters or ones that can be attached to the table cloth.

Marketing for the stall during the event :

  • Every group will be given the mic to make announcements for 30 seconds each, 3 times during the entire event.

  • In case the students decide to create jingles as part of their branding and marketing strategies, these jingles would have to be performed live. No pre-recorded jingles will be allowed.

  • The volume of the mic will be turned off after 30 seconds, so all jingles or announcements must fit within this time limit.

Parents' role in planning for the Entrepreneurship Fair :

  • As this is a group project, the students will be interacting a lot with each other. Many times, this leads to a lot of arguments. You can be the referee, but don’t jump in and become a participant. That changes it from a fight between kids to one between adults!

  • Parents will NOT be allowed to help the students once the Entrepreneurship Fair starts.
