Seating Arrangement
- Primary students (Std 1 to 5) have fixed places as per their roll numbers for all the core subject classes. The teacher walks throughout the classroom (as there are no bags blocking the aisles) so first bench, last bench or in between - all receive the same attention in the class.
- The roll numbers are painted on to the benches. There is no rotation during the unit. At the start of each unit, the last bench is moved to the start of the row, all other benches go one spot behind. That is how the rotation happens.
- In activity classes, students have the freedom to choose their seats as there is all general material and no person specific material distribution or collection.
- Secondary (Std 6 to 10) and KG students have no fixed seating positions.
- For KG students, there are desks and chairs in the WRITE class. In the READ and LEARN classes, there are chairs only as there is no writing activity to be done.
- For the KG ACTIVITY class, they have a different space for each day. THEATRE has empty studio space to move around, ARTS and HANDS ON have tables and chairs to do activities on. SPEAK has chairs and empty space to perform. OUTDOOR happens in a different space with play structures and COMPUTERS happens in the computer lab.
