Practice tests

  • These are conducted four times a year in the week before the unit tests. They are marked in the calendar.
  • The practice tests help the students move from learning mode to testing mode. These are preparation tools for their summative assessment. These follow the exact same format that the unit tests too. That helps the students get familiar with the exam format and get that nervousness out of the way. They can focus on the content, understand their weaknesses and work on them.
  • Practice tests are solved in an exam atmosphere, and are further checked by the teachers and discussed in school.
  • The practice test marked under Extra practice in the table, is specially created and sent home so that you, as parents, do not need to spend time curating a list of questions as per the exam pattern. This is exclusively for home use, so do not send the solved version back to school. The teacher won’t be checking it.
  • The Unit Test has the same format, marks, timing, difficulty level as the practice tests.

  • Std 9 IT does not have any practice test conducted in the school. Students directly appear for the Unit Test which is conducted on the last working day before practice tests start.

  • Std. 10 does not have any practice test in school. For the first unit, they are given a practice paper for independent study. Their Unit Test is spaced out with a day's gap between papers and spans all the days of the practice test and unit test for the first two units. After that they are on a different schedule with 5 more rounds of exams.
