Unable to attempt an exam
- There are various reasons why a child may be unable to come : sickness, some other external exam, some family function etc. We do not reschedule exams at all.
KG to Std 8
- However, up to Std. 8, you can answer the exams in the online format. Make sure you read the ONLINE EXAM section thoroughly on how to go about it.
CAN SICK CHILDREN COME ONLY FOR THE EXAM?
- Being sick during exams is a one-off thing. We recommend your child takes some well - deserved rest and gets well soon. Exams keep happening. The child can always catch the next one.
- Students will be promoted to the next class if this is a one-off instance and other exam performances are satisfactory. These exams are important, but not more important than your child’s health and well - being. सिर सलामत तो पगड़ी पचास!
- We suggest you save this जोश for when your child is in Std. 8, 9 and 10 - for that is when we really need your support in making sure students don’t miss out on any exams!
- We have seen parents send their children to school even when the children are so sick that they cannot stand properly or even concentrate on what’s going on in school. This causes a lot of stress for the sick child (as well as for the school staff)
- Please do not bring your sick child to school, and argue with the office team. We will NOT be accepting sick children.
- If a sick student still comes to school, the student will be moved to the sick bay and parents will be called to pick the child up. They will not write the exam on that day.
Std 9 and 10
- From Std 9 onwards, no excuse is considered valid to skip an exam. Std 9 needs to write all the exams in school as per the schedule.
- Promotion to Std. 10 depends on Std 9 performance. Students are held back in Std. 9 if they do not meet the passing criteria.
- If there is a genuine problem, reach out to the school. Each case will be evaluated individually based on the student’s history. Concessions / adjustments may or may not be granted.
