Kindergarten : Sick / Absent Children during Exams
In case of illness or any genuine emergency, parents do not need to worry about exams. At the Kindergarten level, exams are only a small part of how we observe a child's progress.
- Teachers will not conduct exams in the previous or following week for individual students.
- Conducting the exam on a single separate day is also not practical, as the assessment includes multiple activities and written work that cannot be completed properly in one sitting.
- Additionally, during exam periods, teachers are supervising and conducting exams for the entire class. It is therefore not possible to leave the rest of the students and arrange a separate exam for one child.
If a child is unable to appear for an exam due to illness or an emergency, it is completely fine. The child will still be promoted to the next class, and the teacher's ongoing observations of the child's work and participation throughout the year provide sufficient understanding of their progress.
Parents are therefore requested not to worry about missed KG exams and to focus instead on the child's health and well-being.
