Information about AWIM
A World in Motion (AWIM)
The SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) organizes this competition annually, in order to generate interest among students in the automobile industry.
Std. 5 and 6 students can apply for this competition. The task for Std. 6 is to create a Jet - toy and Std. 5 is to create skimmers under the able guidance of industrial volunteers. The students are exposed to various STEM concepts and laws (including their practical applications!) as they prepare for this competition.
IMPORTANT
- We are allowed a total of 120 students per class i.e. for Std. 5 limit is 120 and for Std. 6 limit is 120, across all campuses together. So register quickly. The slots are limited, as you can see.
- Registration is to be done as an individual student. Teams will be formed by the organizers during the preparatory sessions.
- Each team is made up of 4 participants.
- There is NO enrollment fee for this competition. However, please note that in case your child registers and is absent for more than 1 session or drops out then you will be charged a penalty fee of Rs. 2,500 payable to the school. This is because it involves a lot of resources (internal and external staff as also all required material) exclusively put together, for the training and the competition.
