What changes when the student leaves CBSE?
This is important. Choosing NIOS means the student is leaving the CBSE Class 9–10 board registration route.
- They cannot later simply return and appear for the CBSE Class 10 board exam.
- They also cannot represent Walnut as a CBSE-registered student in CBSE sports tournaments.
- Eligibility for other outside competitions will depend on the rules of that competition.
