This document is only a simplified format to help applicants understand the online admission procedure
Secondary Course : The minimum age for admission is 14 years as on 31 July 2026.
This means the student must have been born on or before 31 July 2012.

Online Admission Procedure
Visit the website : https://sdmis.nios.ac.in (Use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.)
- Click the MENU button.
- Click ADMISSION and then ACADEMIC.
- Click STREAM 1 (APRIL 2027).
Select the following :
State : MAHARASHTRA
Identity : AADHAR
Course applying for : SECONDARY
Click SUBMIT.
- On the Verify Aadhaar Number page, enter your Aadhaar number and your name exactly as shown on the Aadhaar card.
Click SUBMIT. The system will verify the Aadhaar number and name.
- Enter FATHER'S NAME and MOTHER'S NAME.
- Enter DATE OF BIRTH by selecting the date from the calendar.
- Enter MOBILE NUMBER and EMAIL ID.
Click GENERATE OTP.
You will receive OTPs on both mobile and email. Both OTPs are required. If not received, use RESEND OTP.
- Enter both OTPs and click SUBMIT.
- Enter Permanent Address and Correspondence Address. If both are the same, select SAME AS PERMANENT.
Open OTHER DETAILS. Keep all scanned documents ready for upload.

Check that all details have been entered correctly.
Click NEXT.
Complete the OPTIONAL DETAILS page.

Click NEXT.
Choose SUBJECTS. A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 7 subjects may be selected.

After choosing the subjects, click NEXT.
On the STUDY CENTRE PREFERENCE page, select State: MAHARASHTRA and the appropriate District.
Choose three Accredited Institutions (AIs) in order of preference.
Here are our suggestions.
(You may choose other centres if you find them more convenient. Just check that it is active and has Course : Secondary and Medium : English)

Choose PAYMENT NOW or PAYMENT LATER.

Your Registration is Successfully Submitted.
You can log in with your credentials to proceed with the payment process
You will receive an email containing login credentials (username, password and instructions).
- Payment may be completed during registration or later through STUDENT LOGIN using the credentials sent by email.
- Payment may be made through PayU or CSC. PayU normally provides Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit Card options.
- After successful payment, you will receive confirmation by email.
- You can print or download the payment receipt and Application Form from your login.
- After verification of the required documents and photograph, confirmation will be sent by email / mobile along with the ENROLMENT NUMBER.
- The enrolment details can then be printed or downloaded from the student login.
