Std. 10 study sessions

These Saturday study sessions are strictly applicable and compulsory for all students who have failed in the Brush Up and Make-Up exams.

About the Session

Parent and child are required to report to school every Saturday at 7:45 AM for a study session from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This applies on all school holidays as well, except days explicitly marked as "Office Closed" in the school calendar. Do not plan any trips anywhere between now and the board exam. The only days off for you and your child are Sundays and "Office Closed" days.

During the Session

  • You must sit with your child and actively engage with their work. We will be giving you exact instructions on what to do. Passive presence is not acceptable.
  • Mobile phones (yours and the student's) must be kept in your bag for the duration. Phones may only be accessed during designated breaks.
  • If you are unable to attend, you must arrange a responsible adult who is capable of actively working with your child. This substitute must be approved by the principal in advance.

If a Session Is Missed

A missed Saturday must be made up on a weekday. Till that session is made up, your child will not attend regular classes. The full Saturday-like session must be completed before your child returns to the regular timetable. You will have to accompany the child on such regular school days.

CBSE Board Exam Eligibility

Please note: CBSE now requires students to pass internal marks and external marks separately. Internal marks are submitted in January. If your child's internal marks are not adequate, hall tickets will not be generated by the board and your child will not be permitted to appear for the board exam. The school cannot guarantee adequate internal marks if you do not comply with this programme.

Learning Disability — Act Immediately

Some students who are struggling may have a learning disability. If this is the case, CBSE provides formal concessions — but only if documentation is in place. The List of Candidates (LOC) is filed in August. There is very little time. Reach out to us for further guidelines in the meeting on how to go about this. Once documentation is submitted and your child is registered with CBSE as a special needs student, these Saturday sessions will be stopped.
