Preparing for the 2028 Boards

This page brings together how we are approaching each subject for our Grade 9 students (2026-27) as they begin their journey towards the Board Exams of 2028.

At the time of publishing this article, there is still limited clarity from NCERT/CBSE regarding textbooks and the syllabus. While we continue to track updates, academic work has already begun in a structured and well planned manner.

For subjects where the broad topics are listed to some extent, we have used the National Curriculum Framework guidelines, along with the Grade 9 draft syllabus for Main Subjects and Languages, to understand the likely direction of the new curriculum and plan for Grade 10 accordingly. In subjects where this gives clearer guidance, we are able to move ahead more confidently. In others, we are focusing on building the skills and concepts that will still remain useful when the final material is released.

Each subject is being handled slightly differently, based on:

  • how clearly the concepts are defined
  • how predictable the structure is
  • how much overlap exists with earlier content

To understand how learning is being planned for each subject, please go through the subject-wise notes below.

📚 Subject-wise Approach

Each section explains:

  • how we are deciding what to teach at this stage
  • what assumptions we are (and are not) making
  • how this approach will help students when textbooks are released

🔄 What to Expect Going Ahead

  • This page will be updated as more official information becomes available
  • Subject approaches may be refined further based on new releases
  • Students will be guided to adjust smoothly when final material arrives

💡 A Quick Note

Across all subjects, our approach is consistent:

  • move ahead where there is clarity
  • use overlap where it exists
  • build strong concepts where there is uncertainty

So when the final textbooks and details are released, students are not scrambling. They are already prepared and just have to fine-tune their understanding.
